Mission

The IRG's work focuses on prenatal diagnosis, including molecular infectious disease,

the genetics of infertility,

and recurrent miscarriage (RIF), with particular attention to the role

of polymorphic variants

in both the induction of immunological tolerance and maternal endometrial receptivity.

Genetic Counseling

This activity includes targeted counseling to investigate the possible familial transmission of genetic or chromosomal alterations, assessing their potential recurrence in future generations and the impact on couple reproduction.

Research & Development

Our research group, part of a network involving leading professors and university centers, has collaborated with leading Italian researchers to identify, for the first time, the epigenetic regulatory network of oocyte cumulus cells mediated by long non-coding RNA, opening new perspectives in the study of the molecular mechanisms of fertility.

Mission

Genetic diagnosis is based on the identification of molecular alterations and chromosomal rearrangements responsible for specific pathologies, and on the screening of haplotypes that predispose to the development of diseases or functional disorders, thus allowing a targeted assessment of individual genetic risk.
